Reading Proverbs – 9:9 Wisdom Begets Wisdom
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.– Prov 9:9
A brief one today… Along the lines of ‘give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he’ll spend a bundle on fly rods’.
It’s interesting to see that righteousness is so connected to wisdom and learning. Not surprising, though, really – if The Gift of True Wisdom comes from God, and He is the source of all righteousness (Phil 3:9), then of course a righteous person will want to get closer to God – which means learning about Him.
