“Bible in a Day” at Center Church
I’ll be presenting the Bible in a Day (OT) again on Saturday September 13th at Center Church in Torrington, CT. This is a fairly intense 6-hour lecture – pray for my voice! – that I’ve put together over the past few years; I’m presenting it at churches to people that are interested in deepening their understanding of the Old Testament and how it fits together. A sort of high-level perspective on God’s Word.
This is not a course on apologetics, or any sort of intellectualized ‘justification’; the basis for this is that the Bible is God’s word and Christians ought to know it.
If anyone’s interested in attending, the church has opened it up to people outside the congregation: to register, call the church office at (860) 489-8301, or email the secretary at CenterChurch@snet.net … but be aware that the deadline is this weekend, so you don’t have much time to act!
I got a call this morning from a church in Thomaston that has asked for it too, so looks like there will be another later on in the Fall. That session may not be open to non-congregants, however.

Ohhhhhh…sounds like a real feast for the spirit! Thank you and your church for opening this opportunity to the community! I can’t attend myself (heavy sigh, look of intense regret…) because I’ll be at the Cape at a Graham Cooke conference, but I will keep you daily in my prayers, not just for your voice, but for blessing and protection for every area of your life (body, soul, spirit, work, ministry, finances, recreation, family, Biff!, house, car, property, websites, computer, any equipment for the presentation, etc…) The enemy always hates it when the Word is presented clearly, especially in creative and profound events like this, and he likes to create all kinds of attacks/diversions to ambush these events. Count this intercessor in your prayer shield… Blessings.

Thanks for your prayers – they’re most welcome. One of the hardest tasks in this presentation was knowing what to remove to get the day down to 6 hours. So much to squeeze in.
